The ACYH (Alternative Creative Youth Hostel) is a cozy youth hostel right in the heart of Barcelona just a few steps from the famous Las Ramblas, main attractions, public transportation, 24 h supermarkets, bars and restaurants. The hostel was not only created to provide budget accommodation but also to be a meeting place for people from all over the world from where they can easily discover Barcelona’s artistic and cultural treasures. We truly care about your experience and are here to show you Barcelona from a different side. 

If you are vegetarian or vegan, we can recommend some fantastic, healthy restaurants all in walking distance from the hostel. If you are a musician, bring your instrument, there are some fine jam sessions going on in some hidden away bars in Barcelona! We have guitars at the hostel too, should you miss plucking strings during your journey. And if you are interested in arts, we can tell you where to find excellent exhibitions.

We have the necessary information to make your visit to Barcelona memorable. Our knowledgeable staff will give you maps and is always happy to assist with questions. Arrival by Plane:

If you arrive to Barcelona by plane, it’s easiest to get to us by the Aerobus. The shuttle bus leaves from the airport every 10 to 20 minutes and takes about 25 minutes to arrive in the centre. Get off at the last stop, Plaza Catalunya. The bus stops in front of the department store El Corte Inglés. Walk across the big plaza with your back facing El Corte Inglés. At the north west corner of the plaza, you will find Ronda Universitat. Walk on the righthand side towards house number 17. The hostel is located in a historical building, and there is no hostel sign outside. Look up high for number 17. When you have found the hostel, ring one of the GREEN bells on the bottom row, and meet us on the entresòl floor ( the floor after the ground floor )

Arrival by Train:

If you arrive at Estacio Franca, take the yellow metro line (L4) from Barceloneta station towards Trinitat Nova. Change the metro at Urquinaona to the red line (L1), towards Hospital de Bellvitge, and get off at Catalunya. Take the Ronda Universitat exit.

If you arrive at Sants-Estacio, take the red metro line (L1) towards Fondo. Get off at Universitat, and take the Ronda Universitat exit. Ronda Universitat is the street on your left after the exit.

Arrival by Car:

Enter address “Ronda Universitat 17” into your navigator.
When you have reached Ronda Universitat, look for the number 17

Terms and conditions:
Before you proceed with the reservation, note that we are a FUN but not a PARTY hostel. Our purpose is to provide accommodation to people who come to Barcelona for a cultural visit. We reserve the right to refuse admission.

Age restriction:
If you are younger than 18, please contact us before making the reservation.

Cancellation policy:
A cancellation free of charge must be done at least 48 hours prior to the "date" of arrival. If you cancel, modify or do not show up for your reservation, the first two nights of the accommodation cost will be charged to your credit card. A cancellation must be done through sending an email.

Note: There is a 2% credit card surcharge for payments at the hostel.

City Tax: For bookings arriving from 1st November 2012, there is a 0.75 EUR city tax per person per night, which is not included in the price.
